Anarcho-volcanism
The axis of symmetry starts in the lower left hand corner. Can you see it?
This is my first positive result with a new class of formula.
- My original method had each cell take mod(sum(inputs)) from the row(s) above itself. Cells take discrete values from Z/nZ.
- Next I did 2^mod(log(sum(inputs))) so I’d get continuous values over a range of R with the ends joined. I got that idea from octaves in pitch.
- This new spreadsheet uses sin(sum(inputs)) as a different way to make a continuous loop.
The above image had integers bouncing around in [0,2pi). Image 2 uses multiples of pi/3, pi/4 and pi/5 instead:

Finally with the power of unstable equilibria I was able to make Excel cry blood:
F4=$A$1*SIN(SUMPRODUCT($B$1:$D$3,E1:G3)-$A$3)+$A$4
F4:JO273 Ctrl+R Ctrl+D
A1=PI()/3 A3=0 A4=0 B1:D3=▟▖H3=PI()/2
This concludes my experiment with SIN

Wasp-posting-wednesday!!
Ever heard a wasp tantrum before?
She (a great golden digger wasp, sphex ichneumoneus) was trying to dig a hole for her offspring, but the blades of dead grass were getting in her way. So while trying to grip and tear them out, she was buzzing and huffing which made it look as if she was having a tantrum. Pretty funny and cute. Turn up your volume to hear her squeak!
When you walk up to a stream and all the frogs jump in. Plop! Plop! Plop! You agree.
